My worst vintage buy?
This is a fabulous dress in it's own right.
But for me it is my worst buy not only because it will not fit me too small around the bust but also because I cannot see any one else wearing it as you see.
I know nothing about it!, on the positive side it only cost £20
So what is it:- A long evening dress in black satin sort of fabric with a very nice textured pattern.Date I do not know was told it could be oldish?
What make this dress strange to me is that it fastens up at the back with Hooks & Eyes up the back of the bodice offset to the right, then just below the waist their are a line of press studs making a sort of wide flap so you can step into it.
Has any one any thought why this is, I fid think it could be for a quick change in a theatre or was it just how it is made then
It was suggested when I bought it that if it was to small around the top for me as it is that it could be made into a skirt as the waist and hips are my size.
Would this be sacrificing what could be a good dress to someone?
Any thoughts about this dress is appreciated.
