Liz\'s outfit

I thought you would enjoy this email from my daughter in law. The jacket is a BCBG shirt I bought in Boston at a resale shop.

A Cute Carpool Story:

This morning, Liz gets out of the car to knock on (our carpool buddy) Amanda’s front door and as she is walking back to the car, Amanda comes out and says, “Wow, Liz, that’s a cute outfit.” Where did you get the jacket? “From my grandma,” Liz replied smugly. Amanda looked surprised. “Really? My grandma has...well...grandma taste when it comes to clothes. She would never buy me anything that cute,” said Amanda. Liz responded, “Well, my grandma has awesome taste. She’s an expert on couture fashion. I don’t really know exactly what that means, but she goes to these high-fashion designer’s showrooms and tells them all what to do and how to do it. And no one ever argues with her, they just do whatever she says. It’s really cool...” J

Nothing like a grand-daughter to make you much more important than you are. Claire

Here's the follow up about the outfit, etc.

The jacket being referred to is actually the long-sleeve black shirt you gave Liz, which she wore unbuttoned over a white v-neck blouse, with blue jeans and the Ugg boots from Australia. Thank you for teaching her how to dress properly. Twice this year she has been told that she looks like a model. She really knows how to assemble an outfit! The only drawback...she has expensive taste. While shopping for dresses to wear to the homecoming dance, other girls settled for $50 dresses while Liz had her heart set on a beautiful Jessica McClintock frock that cost twice as much. But, as she pointed out, it was so well made you could not even see where the zipper is. It’s hard to argue with that logic... J"

This must be an invisible zipper. It provides some feedback about what impresses a teenager.
