Long dress cut and age...

This dress I have a question on - I have it in my mind it is 50's-60's but the cut in the back seems 30's, its lined in a crepe type fabric. Can someone just give me their opinion -see images. I really just wanted to double check.

I also wanted to double check age of this jacket while I am posting- it is handmade ribbon lace, crepe, short beige velvet lined fur collar. Style wise I would say 50's/60's but it had a hand written tag pinned on it that said 20's crepe and ribbon lace jacket. Also, being handmade it has an older feel in some of the details....
Thanks!

the dress with the cowl and elastic waist looks very 70s, to me. btw, are there darts in the dress? some of the deep cowls were designed to lay to the front, rather than the back: darts would help determine that for you.

the jacket looks as if it may have been part of an ensemble and with the shorter sleeve length looks 60s to me.

Thanks everyone, the dress has a zipper in the back and no elastic, it may not be clear in the pic. I had a 70's dress like you described but this grecian hanging area is the back as there is a zipper if that helps.

Is there a label in the dress? I had a dress several years ago made from the identical fabric. I think the label began with an "R" - trying to see if I
still have pics on file. Anyway, my dress, different style but same fabric was very early 70s. I think the jacket is late 50s/early 60s and agree, it
would have had a dress to match.

Thanks no tag! I wish!! I think this is homemade but not sure. I think as of now I can keep the dress up as 60's and put the jacket up as 50's!

I'm seeing late 60's on your lovely  dress and early 60's on the jacket. I had the exact jacket but in silver with silver fur and a matching pencil skirt. Yours is in much better condition than mine was though; I thought I could save it but no such luck.
