I was telling Chris about this great magazine I have taken for years. It is called Reminisce. Comes out every two months and is chocked full of stories about days past. Has good recipes, too, and pics of old clothes.

Anyway, I went to their website and this is what it says at top.

Nostalgia is like a grammar lesson...you find the present tense and the past perfect.

Think you can borrow that for your slogan?

That's great!

Maybe I could do:

Vintage Clothing - because the present's tense and the past's perfect!

Hollis, I've always wondered if your business name was a play on grammar (past perfect) and "perfect" vintage. (Being a language major, my first thought was the grammar angle! :) ) How did you come up with the name? I'd love to know.

:) Laura

That is exactly how we came up witht it. Monty did it actually. We were brainstormimg at the dining table and he won!

I have always liked the name because of the grammar/vintage angle and because it has the double meaning of either 1) the past is perfect or
2) the clothes are a little past being perfect.

I think that would be perfect...rather past perfect.:)

My husband came up with mine too. :)

I think i remember past perfect or is it past imperfect (?) from spanish class way yon years ago in high school
