Looking for Info on Vintage Dallas Handbag\'s Phone-Bag

I'm looking for more information on a purse made by Dallas Handbags that was a working phone. I found some links:

link 1

link 2

link 3

but I'd like to know what year it was made, how many were made, how many different styles were available, where I can get one, and how much they cost, etc.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

A quick search found three of them for sale on e-bay and etsy, so they're probably not terribly rare.

There's been discussions here before about the handbags - and if I recall correctly, there are at least two VFGers who have one. As Ookoo mentioned, they're not uncommon or particularly valuable - but definitely cute.

They dont come up that often but they are out there. I have black small one and a large breifcase one. They are still desirable. I see then go on ebay for about $200 at times....
I keep my small one for my collection....

I believe they are early 70s. I've seen the brief case size in black patent, a black alligator texture and red but not sure if there were other colors. There was also a smaller size, as Chris mentioned.

Thanks for the great info!

In searching the web last night, I did see black and white in the large (more like a brief-case style) and black and red in the smaller shoulder bag. I wonder if they made any other colors (like bright green!) :) I'm considering getting one, but I want to know all my options before I buy...because, I guess, how many phone purses should a person have?!

I'm also curious when they were actually made? When I couldn't find anything about the purse, I tried to figure it out by looking for the date that touch-tone phones became used. That didn't pan out. If I do get one, I'm sure people will ask me about it, and I'd like to have the correct info to share.

Thanks for your help. If anyone has any other info, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
