Looking for Information on a Designer

I found this dress at an estate sale and I am having trouble finding any information on the designer. Just by looking at the label I feel it is a special piece. Any information is appreciated! Thank-you!

Oh, so French. Thank you, Erin. I'm feeling late 70s to early 80s here. Is the fabric silk?

The Griffe thought had occurred to me too, but why no final letter 'e' ? Mystery in progress.

Here is a little information from a 1981 article about shopping in Paris:

"If you want famous French designer labels, check out the discount shops selling them at half-price or less: Babs, 7 ave. Marceau; Griff'styl with branches at 17 Rue d'Auteuil, 40 Avenue Neil, and 9 Rue St. Placide..."

The material feels like cotton...possible blend.
