looking for term for this 1950s military (field?) (great coat?)

This is a coat from 1952....it says "Dominion" so I'm assuming Canada, but maybe British....wondering if this would be considered a Field coat or if there is another name for it?

I was going to say it looks Canadian lol - because I thought it looks more like a winter coat for colder climates than Britain...although technically it was colder back then.
I don't recognise the mark inside. Can you get a closeup photo of it please?
 
There was a Dominion Garment Company in Guelph Ontario, but what was throwing me was the mark because it doesn't look like wartime issue marks. However, 1952 was Korea, and Canada fought as part of the U.N., not as Canada, so that might explain why the mark doesn't have a C for Canada, but rather I.S., which maybe stands for 'International Service' or something like that...
