Looking for vintage dealer to liquidate my collection

With ebay or brick and morter store to liquidate my 26 year vintage clothing collection.

When replying, please include info about your history, store info and commission requirements. It would also be helpful to know your pricing techniques: In other words, I am not interested in dealers who start all online auctions at $9.99 for my vintage suits (ahem).

The collection will mostly consist of items in the low to mid-range of pricing. No couture, no designer labels. Items range from cheap to $1500. Dealers will be expected to know current vintage pricing and retain in store until sold at their own expense. I am not interested in ebay pricing and am willing to wait for some items to sell until I get the price I want, while I will be happy to sell other items at a price you deem correct so you will have a steady income for your trouble and expense.

Specialists in ladies hand fans are also welcome to write separately or include this in your description as I have a large collection of ladies hand fans for sale too. Pricing and historical knowledge is required to sell the ladies hand fans.

Yes, this is a serious post and yes, I am liquidating parts of my collection. My husband and I decided we want our guest room back. :violins:

I am in no hurry to do this, but would like to work with you to ensure an equally satisfying and profitable relationship.

One more thing...

Please write me privately, as I only check discussion boards approximately once a week or so.

Thanks,

In the first instance it would be useful if you would supply some basic information about your collection,. and perhaps yourself, why collected and the sources.

Supply your location, the general diversity of your collection ie. the decades of clothing, the gender, the types, dresses, cocktail etc....and whether all items are one size and which size this is or sizes covered, (as is the case in many personal collections), general condition and how presently stored, and if the house is a smoke free zone.

Also you seem to require consignment and have prices in mind for your sale, some ideas of this would be helpful to guide possible interested parties.Good to note too, the obvious discrepancy between trade prices and collectors expectations.
