Love this hat, but what era??

I picked this up at a recent estate sale. It is heavy tan suede with a brown smooth leather brim. It buckles behind with a leather strap and metal buckle. No labels. It reminds me of something as delivery driver or cab driver would wear. I was thinking 50s, perhaps. Would this be considered a newsboy hat?? I just don't know what the proper terms would be so that I can list it. Thanks!!

This looks "Summer of Love" to me - 1968 or so. Looks very hippie hand made - and very cool!

Exactly what Jody said. We used to do leatherwork then & this definitely looks like late 60s.
