Thanks, Beth. While I waited I searched both spellings and saw nothing for Fache, but lots for Facho, so I assumed that was it. I will post an ad or two shortly, but what I found indicates that Facho Co. dealt with children's, junior, and petite clothing.

I wore hats like this too in the 50s and I would call it a bandeau style hat. It is very you, Beth, why don't you keep it for awhile and get some enjoyment from wearing it!
