Marce Original Coat?

Any ideas on the fabric, time period or hardware used on this piece? A google search provided little detail.

Hi RadarLuv, nice coat. I date it to the late '40s and recommend a burn test for the fabric composition. It's probably wool though - see if you can snip a scrap from an interior seam to test.

Is it winter or summer weight? If the latter, the fabric could be silk - see why burn tests are great, some fabrics are hard to tell by looking at them.

By "hardware", do you mean buttons? They're unusual for this style and I can't be sure they're original. They are nice though.
