I saw this a little while back when it was still in the construction stage but I have just discovered that the M&S archive catelogue is now online and searchable, with lots of information available to the public and they are actively encouraging people to make a pick list of items from the catelogue to go and view for real in Leeds.

It has some things I've not seen before, such as their 1920's St Michael label which is capitalised in a bold art deco font (search men's suspenders for an example!)
 
Fantastic resource Melanie, thanks for sharing it, especially good for me, as I have a lot of old M&S stock I think from my English supplier ;). I wish it was really old, its mostly 60's and 70's stuff.
