Materials and date of this elasticated bracelet

Hi, I wonder if anyone could tell me whether they think this is vintage or a modern Topshop-style "vintage". I wasn't sure whether they made elasticated bracelets in the Fifties. Also I'm wondering is the material plastic or lucite? It is a really elegant shape with alternating bands of silver tone and diamante (I'm not very good on my terminology!). It feels quite nice and solid which is what makes me think it could be older. Thank you.

It looks very 40's Deco -- what is the stretch cording made of? Is it white with a discernible knot somewhere? Or is it clear?

ETA: Also, what's that little mark on the bottom of one of the panels, at around 1:00?

hi thanks so much for responding. The stretch cording is clear with no discernible knot. And those marks, which are at the wider base of each segment, are not any kind of signature. They look almost like the marks you would get from having been poured in to a mould, if that makes sense....
