Ellen, is that the printed size or is it what you are guesstimating based on measurements? A 14 is really not big, more like an average size (and looks more slender on a tall woman, and i have never heard of an 14W. i usually only see the W added for 18 and higher. but i am not the tag expert.
a half size is often a petite size if it is a size label.
I think this is one of those things that would be benefited by a regular manni or an actual person but then block the person out then with photoshop (if they are of an apropriate size) This does dip in just slightly at the waist so imagine on the right lady this would just look just right and i think the cut is very straight, but it might not be as dowdy as one thinks. we are just so used to finding tiny dresses. well..how can rhinestones be dowdy, right?
it would really play up a beautiful face/eyes if the woman would not want to accentuate anything else, because everything else would "disappear"
The shape of the neckline would also benefit a gal who was more top heavy as v necks..but not too deep...make them look more balanced than a jewel neck (which in most cases would make them more matronly looking).
