Hi. Based on the Label Resource, I'm thinking this is late '50s.

The hem allowance is massive.
Missing belt. Lining has some shattering. :(

What would you call this fab collar? I love the way the buttons are sewn on with an "X."

Your thoughts, please?

I agree with late 50s due to hemline length, but some of those mannequins can be pretty tall making the dress look shorter. My early 60's gal is close to 6ft. So depending on the length of the dress I would say mid to late 50's just like Terri says.

I also agree on capelet collar, although I'm not sure if that is the proper name or not.

Oh good. I'm going with that late 50s date, then.
I wonder if this was post Maurice and designed by Anna Miller.

Of course--capelet style--I was thinking of a portrait collar and couldn't seem to get capelet to surface.

I want to add that I don't see any signs of the hem being shortened and have seen those seriously deep hems on things I've had, but this is really deep.

I like this dress, too. I love bracelet sleeves. My bracelets like them, too.

Thanks so much for talking to me about this dress. I've been hoarding this for a long time. I'm glad it photographed pretty well or I'd still be hoarding it.
