Maxi dress 60\'s or 70\'s?!!!!!

Hi everyone,

Needing a little bit of advice. I'm having to date a few dresses and feeling confused as to the year/era. They are floor length maxi' eith shirtwaister or mandrin esq collar but have a bold 60's prints....

Are they early 70's with a late 60's fabric or.....

A thousand thanking yous!

the first one looks 70s w/border print and huge collar....

oh, and you'll only be able to load one photo per post, so go ahead and post another to this thread, and your second shot will show

Do they have a label? Or a union tag, maybe?

The one that shows looks 70's to me as well.

Very '70s! There's no mistaking that massive collar. I would say early to mid '70s on this one - it's common for home dressmakers to use a fabric that's a bit older, but a '60s style would not have those wopping big lapels.

I would say that this dress has a 70's style, since 70's fashion was also inspired on vintage-clothing, such this dress prints. The sleeves are also 70's, they have flare-shaped cuffs, and the fabric is colorful. the style most used in the 70's was the maxi length.

Another vote for the 70s! I've seen enough episodes of That 70's Show to know that the collar can't be mistaken for anything but the 70s!
