Maybe a Schiaparelli 20s Gown?

I had someone suggest this might be a Schiaparelli?
No label....but a fabulous bird of paradise done entirely in rhinestones on one side.
Thought I would throw it out to everyone who is knowledgeable in 20s dresses!
Thanks for any information you can give me on this exquisite dress!

I understand and totally get that Schiaparelli was more bold in her use of imagery...Lobster dress anyone?
And thank you Mary Jane. I think I am going to take some silk from the hem allowance to recontruct the shoulders.

There was a fabulous retrospective exhibition of Schiaparelli's work in Philadelphia about a decade ago and if you can get your hands on the catalogue you can see the sort of work she was doing in the 20s and early 30s and this wasn't it. Her work was more about construction than decoration, and when she does move towards imagery in the late 1930s she goes more for the surreal or satirical.
