Melbray of London dress - Late 1950s or early 1960s?

Hi all,

Picked up this lovely silk (?) dress from Melbray of London and wanted your opinion about whether it’s likely to be late 50s or early 60s (or some other timing entirely)! I’ve had another Melbray dress from the 50s which had a very similar label in terms of design, but without the ‘of London’ (last two photos). Other ‘Melbray of London’ labels I’ve seen have been completely different in terms of colouring and font (less cursive) so I’m wondering if this was a transitional label at the end of the 50s / early 60s before they adopted something a bit more modern.

Any thoughts on dates based on style and label much appreciated!

Oh sorry, I realise that thread is one the private side so you won't be able to read it. Here's images of the dress and label.

We thought this dress was circa 1967. I think you are right about this being a transitional label between the 'Melbray' without 'of London', and a later label. I've also seen a later label, seem to remember it being a complete departure from these ones - much more 'modern' .
