Merry Mules by Deacon - Need info...

I have a beautiful pair of vintage gold elf-like slipper shoes from Merry Mules by Beacon? I can't find much about them though. Anyone know anything?

I found eight newspaper ads for "Merry Mules" by Beacon, but none looked exactly like your fun slippers. The ads were dated 1972 through 1975.

From a 1985 newspaper:

Q: For many years I was able to get house slippers called "Merry Mules" by Beacon.
Do you suppose you could get me the name and address of the company so I could order these slippers or mules directly? Thank you. M.L., San Bernardino, Calif.

A: The address for the Beacon Shoe Co., Inc is P.O. Box 130, Jonesburg, Mo. 63351; (314) 488-5444. Please keep in mind that most manufacturers are not interested in selling to the public, so don't get your hopes up. On the other hand, the company will tell you what stores and/or catalogs do carry its merchandise in your area.
