Metal CC zipper

Greetings,
I've acquired this beautiful dress which has a "CC" embossed on the zipper and no other tags.
Any ideas on the brand would be great. I was thinking Ceil Chapman. But I haven't seen any of her dresses with this zipper. Thank you so much in advance!

The initials on the zipper pull are almost certainly just from the manufacturer of the zipper, which would not have been the manufacturer of the dress. Can you please post full photos of your dress and any labels or anything else interesting it has? That may help with dating it.

The CC stands for Coats & Clark and as Karin said, this would be the manufacturer of the zippers not a designer

Yes, the style looks 50's to me too, especially with the extra piece underarm.

 

[Vinclothes]

The underarm piece is called a gusset. It allows smoother fit and provides room for arm movements.
