Metal sliders on lingerie

Hi all- I know I have read this somewhere before but I can't seem to find it on the site. I found a beautiful Vanity Fair slip, and using the label resource I'm guessing it is 50s-60s. It has metal sliders (I'm not sure what the official term is??) on the straps and I know this can be used to indicate a 'made before' date, but I'm not sure what that date is. Any help would be great! Thanks!

You can still get metal sliders although most commercial lingerie are made with plastic these days.

I think your slip is from the late '60s. If it were earlier, the skirt would be longer.
