Mignon?

I got a cute dress online by Mignon (Paris New York)... the seller listed it as early 60's but the red/white/blue union tag dates it after '74...

It comes with a cute jacket with puffy sleeves, totally 80's look when you put it on. Anyone know an info on this designer? I see a Carol Mignon out ther in cyber-space, and a current Mignon brand for prom type dresses. Thanks! -Karen

A 1989 Lord & Taylor ad invited readers to "Join us in welcoming Vincent Mignon, of Mignon Dresses, as he presents their magnificent collection of exquisite evening fashions."

A 1969 newspaper article about Vincent Mignon notes that he was the name that no one knew until the Nixons came along. The Nixon women, it noted, "...relied quite heavily on Mr. Mignon in the pre-Inaugural period." It further notes that Vincent and his brother John started the business with their mother, Rose, in 1948.

I have seen that label in 50s and 60s dresses, but that dress is definitely post 1974 as you mention and may be 80s.
