Millworth Converting Corp. fabric?

Hi there,

I've recently come across two cotton skirts from the 50's made of fabric with similar styles. The first skirt I was told is called "Sorrento Holiday", which I was able to find digging around in google for a bit. I put the name Millworth Converting Corp. to this kind of "destination" print fabric, but that is literally all I could find. That, and that is is all rather valuable!! I sold the skirt for about $150 (before knowing exactly what others were going for) and was surprised it went for so much because the fabric didn't even have Millworth printed anywhere on it. So I guess it's something you just know when you see?

So now I have another skirt, looks to me to also be a Millworth, but because this one is also handmade without using any slevege, I'm just not sure!

I have two questions. Fist question is, are there "fakes" out there and how do you know if it's truly a Millworth print without it printed on the slevege? Second question is, what's up with Millworth fabric anyway? Why is it so popular/valuable? Does anyone have any insight or history?

Thanks so much in advance. I'm very curious!!
