Mod Shoes - Sizing help please

I need some advice please on sizing these mod shoes. Darn it! They're small, otherwise they'd be keepers! I've measured the inside of the shoe, from toe to heel. It measures 8 6/8" (22.2cm). I've found conflicting advice on many of the shoe conversion charts but think these equate to a modern day UK 3 1/2 and a US 5 1/2. There's a very, very faint mark on the inside of the shoe which I think is 4 1/2 (that's UK).

Just some added info. The style is 'SANTOS' and they're faux leather with a plastic buckle. The rubber heel tip was in very poor condition so I've just had them replaced.

Have I got the sizing right? Any help/advice would be appreciated. :)

I can see why you would have kept had they been in your size. Cute!

I think they're a US 4.5 and smaller for UK. What chart do you use Janine? Perhaps mine is all wet.

I am such a bloody dork!!!!! My apologies! I've been so puzzled with this today. I kept thinking these couldn't be so tiny as to be a US 4 or 4 1/2 MAINLY BECAUSE they measure 9 1/2" (24cm) from toe to heel. :embaressed: :duh: I took a measurement I'd written down for something else and . . . . . :duh: I'm just going to give myself a good slap now. See you later. :BAGUSE:

Wish that they were my size ...but too small for me as well. Love the colours! Glad that you got the rubber part replaced!

Keep us posted!

The one in my head first thing in the morning!

OK, so I'm wrong. BUT, I do know that a size 8 measures around 10" as I wear an 8 and require shoes like this to be at least 10 1/8" or they will be too small.

The chart in my head seems to remember 6 1/2's to be about 9 1/2" long. These 6 1/2's in my Etsy store are similar and measure 9 5/8":

Thanks Janine. :) I'd already hearted your lovely shoes. Yep! I think these must be a UK 4 1/2 and a
US 6 1/2 since the measurements are almost the same as yours. Mine aren't quite as wide but as you mention in the ad, it's rare to find shoes from the 60's that have a wider fitting.
