Molly Parnis Boutique....70\'s..? prom-worthy..?
I'm afraid I'll be bombarding the board with questions now that I've decided to part with lots of my vintage stuff. Here's a dress, Mollie Parnis Boutique label, that I'm thinking of pitching for prom. Actually, I suspect it was a bridesmaid's dress back in the day.
Questions...when was "back in the day"..? Based on nothing but my memory, I'm thinking mid-70's. Nylon zipper, pinked seams, sheer pleated textile, no fabric content label. And what is the correct name for this fabric...sheer, fine plain weave with more body than chiffon, less "crisp" than organza. It's very commonly used but I've got brain freeze and can't recall the name of it.
Should I try to sell this for prom..? LOL...if I do, and it tanks, perhaps I'll try again in late April and call it a "single attendant wedding-party" dress..!
