My Mom dropped me at a house that was being cleaned out and went on about garage sale-ing by herself...she comes back with this! I hate smoking, but I love this ashtray.

It's silver-toned metal with OGG stamped in the bottom. The silver stand has rubber footies and a spiral for multiple cigarettes to slide in sideways.

I got lots of stuff at this house, but there was just SO much, scattered about, and me without my spelunking gear to go searching through. We'll see if it washes up before calling it a success.
 
I had an ashtray exactly the same style but in green. It was a modern one though, purchased locally a few years ago. It didn't have those letters underneath. Presumably mine was a copy of your original design. It's a great shape! :) Do you know how old it is?
 
I have no idea if it's really vintage or a repro. It feels of quality, which I, unfortunately, do not associate with modern stuff. It's solid metal, heavy, and not stamped the the "C word" (China) as it seems so many tidbits are.
 
Great ashtray! Haven't seen one like that before!

I love mid-century ashtrays and have quite a collection, since I bought a lot of them at auction cheap, cheap, simply because nobody else wanted them. Now I buy cool ones when I see them and use them around the house as decorative accents.
 
It's a very cool ashtray.
That OGG is really throwing me though.
I found an OGGI that looks very similar to the block letters and your pic of the logo almost looks like that could be an I at the end.
