Since my grandmother died, my grandfather has been giving all her nice vintage stuff to my dad. My dad has asked me to do research on the items to determine their age and value. I'm working on jewelry right now. I've been doing my reading on the markings, but sometimes that still leaves too wide of a time period. I really don't know how to identify the different styles and the appropriate decade they belong to. I was hoping I could learn a thing or two from you guys.
So right now I'm working on this pair of earrings by Monet. I know the copyright mark means they are post 1955. Being clip-ons, I'd say they were likely from the 60's, but all of my grandmother's earrings were clip-ons. What do you think?
