Montgomery Ward Denim Jeans - 1940s-1950s?

Knockout Hideout

Hello! I introduced myself in the "Introduce Yourself" thread, but I wanted to reiterate how thankful I am to have found this group. I am working hard to build my knowledge base, and I hope to be an avid contributor in the future.

I did a lot of research before posting this question since I didn't want to waste anyone's time. I would still like confirmation and some more information (if available) about this piece I found yesterday. I am really interested in vintage denim, and I came across what appears to be a pair of jeans from (I am guessing) the 1940s-1950s based on the style. However, I could be completely off-base and would appreciate any insight anyone can provide! They are Montgomery Ward high waist trousers with a single back pocket.

Waist- 29"
Rise - 14"
Inseam - 31"

Please see photos for the label information and other potentially identifying features. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

You're very welcome.

Oh, to derive that, I looked at the label, location of manufacturing and, of course, the style... that tapered leg and pleated pant combo was just coming out around then. More around the early 80s mark if Montgomery Ward. : )

Ah, that's helpful! I thought it was older based on the high waist and the tag being very simple. I have much to learn. Thank you!

Tappered leg has you at the early 80's Boy those pants are pretty highwaisted I see how it could throw you, but the label tells it all.

I often have a hard time dating jeans.
