Is it a slip or nightwear?

Its a summer dress - would have been worn with nice white lacey undies that would have shown through the fine cotton.

I think the pink and white stripe is at least 4" longer.
Funny I thought the dress was all white from my pics I took earlier and
just looked at it and it has tiny stripes of pale blue and taupe.
