OK, my lastest entry isn't strictly about vintage, but I think the styles are enough of interest to some to post a link here.

'tis all about exotic marketing, and how much I'm a sucker for it. And some 40s-50s fashion inspiration too...

Note to self:
1) find out what Lin's preferred garment measures are
2) buy lots of camels from clearance sale nativity sets.
3) go to yard for a bucket of sugar sand. sprinkle on mannequin base.
4) Pop camels behind mannequin (as they are smaller, they will be "forced perspective" and look faraway. or maybe affix them to the wall.
5) Take photos of every garment, on manni, and with camels in background.

It will be sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and "An Affair to Remember" in intention, ....but really more like if "The Poseidon Adventure" took place on Tatooine in execution.

Well, I really *want* a couple of their embroidered skirts, while I'm enamoured of their striped military cropped jacket, but the one I may fork out for is the green-striped dress...

It's a bit dicey for average sizes, but if one of these isn't strictly necessary, it's sometimes worth waiting until their sale to get a bit of a chunk of money off. Haven't taken the plunge yet, but I exorcised some of my covetessnous by making that post!
