Muslin coat with appliques

Hi, can anyone help me identify this unlined muslin coat? I cannot find anything similar after days of searching.
Large Bertha collar, long sleeves with button cuff, hand applique, bias trim, machine sewn, home seamstress. 1920’s? Any help appreciated.
Thank you

Beautiful! It does look like a smock coat (a cover of some sort) to me as well.

Adorable coat! I agree with Sadie that the buttons and embroidered collar make it seem not as old. I’ve had quite a few 1900s - 1920s linen duster / car coats and this one seems a bit younger than those I’ve had.
