My Bally shoes - 70s or 80s?

They are on the edge of the two decades. I would expect they are probably 1982ish but they might be as early as 1979/80. The 'V' shaped throat, almond toe and tapered stiletto are all typical of that era. The assymetrical wrap over treatment of the vamp I think of as being more 80s than 70s, but it was around in the 70s.

Jonathan, I'm so glad you commented, as I was feeling that, knowing what you've said about almond-shaped toe and 70's. When I looked at this pair, I was flipping back and forth on the cusp of the decade, and now I see why. The asymmetrical wrap-over and all. I'm keeping this in mind. Thanks as always, for your expertise.

Agreed. I had a similar pair (not Bally sadly) in 1981 in grey. They were my first pair of "proper" high heels (after the jokey platform styles I loved as a fourteen year old).
