I am having this fabric which I chosen as been a vintage look to it made into a 50's Full Circle Skirt.

So I thought I start a topic on circle skirts.
is there a typical length of one.
Did the hem line of change over the 50's ?

Skirt hems in the late '40s to early '50s are often 27 to 29 inches from the waist - they get progressively shorter as the years go on. As Ruth mentioned, the length varies depending on the height of the wearer.

This fabric has been made up and is just waiting for the button hole made, I going to start a blog about creating a full look from the fabric to the finished outfit.
The best way I feel is if you interested in reading it then in a while send me a p/m for the link to my site.

Part two of my circle skirt project:
These are the photos taken by the lady who has made it up. The last one is of course the finished skirt.
