I went along to the Manchester Vintage Fashion Fair yesterday with my friend Beth of Faux Brit. Had a wonderful day, as you can imagine, albeit with a bit of a hangover from the night before. Simon and I had friends over for dinner and it carried on until the wee small hours.
Anyway, there's nothing that would have stopped me attending the vintage fair. Most of the stall holders don't have websites so it's a rare opportunity to get hold of some great vintage merchandise, from clothing and textiles to vintage buttons, beads, lace, everything! It's also great fun talking to the stall holders (some are nicer than others!) as they hold a wealth of information and it's so inspiring to hear their stories and also their genuine love for vintage.
One of the nicest stall holders I met was Carol Bates who travels alot to the States to buy her vintage bags. Here's a selection of her pieces. A very interesting lady!

Here's a selection of photos (including some of the lovely stall holders) and a few of my own purchases. BTW! Because I had a sore head, I forgot to take photos of myself and Beth - another time maybe!
Some of my own purchases included:
1940's brown faux fur coat
4 slips/negligees
3 Art Deco dress clips
1950's bracelet
1930's black velvet evening bag
1930's pink crystal earrings
1950's brooch (engraved with 'Mother')
1930's decorative hair clip
Coney fur stole
Knitting bag with plastic handles
Red leather 60's bag
30's/40's blue satin evening bag
Late 50's/early 60's green dress
Art Deco Green beaded glass necklace
