I'm not a specialist - but congrats on your find :clapping:, and I think it's extremely chic! Love it!

No idea about the length, I always find that difficult to judge seeing it just on a dress form. But isn't the seam line just visible there on the second pic? If it is what I think I'm seeing, that looks like a lot of seam allowance, which might be due to the fact that it was shortened.

good point Karin, I'll have to inspect the inside more closely, I was in a hurry to share the pics :)
I found it just recently while I was visiting family in TX.
 
Yes, I think it's been shortened - if the hem is good, I would take down as much as you can. I sometimes sew bias tape along the edge to get the maximum length.

I can't be sure how long it would have been originally, whether mid-calf or floor length, but the proportions are out of whack so I think it was longer.

Great find! I dream of finding an Adrian and yours is fabulous!

That neckline is just stunning! Great find! I agree it's probably been shortened, and second Nicole's suggestion to let it back down as far as possible, and use bias tape or hem lace along the edge to give you the maximum length.
