This hat I love, but because my head is on the larger side, theres no hope for me. I couldn't pass it up though! The local antique store is closing and were selling all their hats for a dollar a piece!

The bow, and the stitching just caught my eye, 1960's?

Thinking about wearing this one to thanksgiving dinner, gives a very cornucopia feel no? The netting needs a little untangling, but I'll save that for a day where I'll have the patience not to tear it.

These next two were on opposites sides of the store, but destined to be together. No idea on the fur?

Same materials as the hat before, this one with a tag, and netting. Any idea on dates?

Also How to care and store vintage hats? I have no clue! :/
Sorry for the horrible iphone pics.
Thanks!

The first two are 60s!

The headband pieces, I'd say late 50s/early 60s? (And the fur on the second one looks like it could be mink, which showed up in accessories a lot right around then).

The fruit and berries one is PERFECT for Thanksgiving!

I store my vintage hats either in hat boxes or in the pockets of a hanging sweater storage unit (with roomy, cubby hole type sections). I put crumpled tissue paper in them if they need extra help keeping their shape, or sometimes even store them for a bit on a glass head.

I think your photos are terrific. I don't know how others store their hats if they don't have hat boxes. I usually wrap mine in tissue, stuff them if necessary and store them in a dresser drawer. I don't have a huge number.

I got a kick out of seeing the label in the second hat and checking where you are from. My mother was from Cincinnati and when we visited my grandmother - eons ago we would go shopping at Shillito's. Is it still in business?

The union tag in the first hat is the one from 1955-1974. I'd say the hat is '60's with those colors! The second hat looks '60's as well. The other ones look earlier to me - probably '50's but I am not a hat expert. Great buys!
