My latest Anne Fogarty

The regulars here know I collect Anne Fogarty dresses. Last week I was in a thrift that had a lady's estate dresses, and there were quite a few Fogartys in the bunch. Most had been worn to death, but I bought this one:

Cute funnel neck looks great on!

Got it back from the cleaners today and it is a perfect fit! Not that there will ever be an occassion around here to wear it.;)

It's the A.F. Boutique label, which is one of her last ones, late 60s to about 71.

There was an even better one from about 1965, but it was white and very stained. Had rhinestones all over, and was probably my favorite Fogarty of all time. But it was a hopeless case.:(

I've had the lucky opportunity to meet Lizzie in person and I can honestly say that this would look so freaking CUTE on her! Hey Lizzie - why not wear it to your retirement bash next year!?! ;)

Oh yes I think you should wear it next year! You will knock em dead in it. Ashame about the other ones.

Lizzie this will look fabulous on you! Sad about the others!

Hey, I'm ALWAYS up for a party, and retirement is a real reason for one!

Our retirement parties at school are held in the afternoon in the school's media center. They are terribly boring affairs, but I've been planning to spice mine up by singing My Way, so the dress might make just the impression I've hoping to achieve!

Thanks for the compliments, and I promise to find or make the right time to wear it.

jsut made me think of Loretta LaRoche. what's her show... "Life is Short...Wear Your Party Pants." She was saying one time: "Why not wear a crown to walk around the mall? why the heck not?" of course, she didn't have a modest tiara, but the big one with the spotted faux snow leopard on the base and the fake jewels, etc. (she admits her children were absolutely petrified of the idea).

i say just wear it. not to anything messy like a hay ride, et al...wear it to the grocery store or the movies.

on a serious note, that is soo sad about the others.
