I love the drama of this Nani! It reminds me of the dresses worn by caucasian women in asian make up in the old 50's films....a little campy but also glam. Is the fabric a cotton sateen? What are the sleeves lined with? Is that a silk screened asian motif on the dress or embroidered? I heard from the buyer on ebay who identified my Nani who said she owns the exact dress in the same pattern only a different color scheme.-Lorinda

is it Pake Muu? which would be Hawaiian slang...that's funny! Pake (pronounced Pa-kay...all vowels are pronounced) is slang for Chinese, (or cheap, too...) heh heh...and Muu of course refers to the dress...

it's not a "technical" term, but it makes sense! the mandarin collar and kimono sleeves are Oriental influences, where-as originally muu muu's were styled after European (colonials)...
