I spent the week-end teaching workshops for the American Sewing Guild in Anchorage.
On my only free day, I had a great visit with Cathy (northstarvintage). She is so knowledgeable; it is really tragic that Anchorage didn't support her vintage shop. I didn't get to paw through any of her items, but she has kept much of the best.
I had an appointment to look at parkas at the museum with the curator and a native Alaskan who teaches parka maker. Cathy joined us. This was truly exciting the parkas ranged from fabric to all fur. Glenna brought along two additional parka makers with their parkas. All were truly fabulous.
It's good to be home and working on my current revision--Apparel Industry Techniques.
