Hello, I have another one I need help with! I found this sweater cardigan years ago and it was kind of in sorry shape. Some of the buttons were missing and in bad shape. I replaced them with the same style of wood toggle as they were kind of deteriorating. The thread used to stitch the buttonholes, patch pockets, and collar/front-facing use purple thread..not sure if it was purple to begin with or it has faded with washing over time. The shoulder seams and facing seams look to be serged in matching blue thread. There are no tags whatsoever, but it feels like acrylic or a blend of other synthetics. The color of the whole garment has faded a bit as well, it's darker under where the sleeves were cuffed. The collar is the most faded area. I am not too informed on vintage sweater styles, but I looked at a vintage knitting website and found the image I added below as the most similar style I could find. It's from https://freevintageknitting.com/women/colmin735-25.html Casual Quick Hand-Knits, Columbia-Minerva Volume 735 Which has conflicting publishing dates, possibly 1960 possibly 1970? (I know this item is not hand kitted, I only used this as a dating tool)
I'm not sure what this style of collar is called. Does anyone have an idea of the date? I'm thinking possibly 70s. Thank you so much
