sorry - just had to share!
i got back from dropping my son off at school yesterday morning and came into the front room to grab the laptop. as i was walking back out i noticed an entire cc41 label slap bang in the middle of the floor. very odd- no vintage down here, and no parcels have been opened in this house for some time (economising :saint: ). and anyway all the 40's cc41 stuff i do own has the labels firmly attached!
being alone in the house i immediately jumped to the conclusion that i was experiencing some kind of vintage haunting and had to put all radios etc. on so as not to be alone - not that i am of a particularly nervous disposition, but the dog kept freaking me out by whining in the front room.... then told husband when he got home and he just blamed it on me having too much stuff and not keeping track of things 'probably stuck to your shoe'.
anyway, all became clear this morning when the dogs persistance paid off. still whining i finally investigated closely and found his silly chewy bone thing wedged under one of the sofas, a good portion of the webbing having been scrabbled at by said dog, and i am assuming -as it's a very deco looking sofa- the fabric cc41 label was underneath and he pulled it out. it did look slightly different to the clothing ones i already have but is still a fabric label.
so no ghosts thank goodness - and i can now date my sofa quite precisely!
;)
