Nan Kempner Wardrobe on the auction block

60+ lots of complete outfits from NY style maven Nan Kempner will be auctioned off on October 2 at Christie's New York. The auction will benefit the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Some of the outfits were featured in the Met Museum exhibit of Kempner's clothes last year.

Glad its going to Sloan Kettering. They are doing great research. My Sister -in- Law and her Step Sisters are going there they all had Breast Cancer and the Bracken Gene so they are part of a special study which I hope brings them closer to a cure.

Nan kempner was such an icon. Some of those clothes are a little umm.. interesting though (brown jumpsuit with those very unique boots) Love the hats and the little red monogramed cartier bag is lovely. The YSL stuff (especially the vintage) is amazing!! Also very sweet it's going to a very good cause. Thanks for the link probably would have never stumbled upon it by myself.
