Napier Set - Silverplated or Sterling or nothing?

Hi Everybody,

In listing a 60s Napier necklace & hoops set I realized I wasn't sure whether it was silverplated or not. There is nothing inscribed other than Napier but it looks like tarnish on silverplate to me.

I'm sure there are jewelry mavens who can tell with a glance. Your input will be ever so much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Not hearing from anyone, I listed it as silverplate and 1960s. I know this isn't a jewelry forum but so many here do list jewelry in their shops.

Sorry -

I meant to respond earlier. I think it'smuch later than '60's from the style. The necklace and earrings are base metal with silvetone plating- not "silverplate." Any jewelry that Napier produced that was Sterling would be marked Sterling.

Napier was in business from 1875-1999. Check here for more information and the marks:

Napier without the © was used in the early1990's. I think it's most likely from then and not quite vintage.
