Narrow down the date on this lace top?

This lovely cream lace top has all the signs of being older, but I could use a fine tune on the date.
It is a combo of wide machine stitches and hand finishing, snaps on the side and glass and glass with rhinestones at the neck closure.

Looks early 40's to me, kind of still has that "bias cut" feel to it of the 30's but the more boxier shape and wide shoulders of the 40's.

Looks late 1930's to me with those sleeves.

I would agree with the latter part of the 30s due to the sleeves and the low dart seam of the bustline. Very pretty piece!

Lovel, Jenn! I'll be a wuss here, and say I think it could be either late 30s or very early 40s--a cusper, perhaps?

Good enough...I'll put it in my woefully understocked "antique beauties" section, for the 30s on back. I like to keep 40s for the "really 40s" stuff, if there is such a logical thing. This seems like one to handle with more delicate gloves than the swing era sort of item....but then lace tends to make me nervous. I'm a clutz and could get myself hung by fringe, though.
