Need a really good fashion history book?

I'm giving this one away on my blog. The title is a bit misleading. This book is a very good overview of fashion in the 20th century as seen through Vogue ads. It is part of the Costume Society of America Series.

Lizzie - I have the dress on the cover in blue. What year was this published and who do they credit as the designer for the cover dres? Pretty, pretty please.

I ask because my dress has a Victor Costa label, and I want to know if and who he copied!

i had to go back thru some previous posts, my dad was a WPA worker here in Iowa ~

and i ADORE the ski and cruise blogs, too! just not enough time in the day ~
