Hi all... I am hoping there is someone here who knows a lot about YSL! I have a suit set that I *thought* was an early 80's set... but now I am thinking it may be late 60's or early 70's from the first ready to wear lines. The label is a fat one... not a skinny one. If it is older it is obviously a lot more valuable.

I have this listed right now as 80's (EEK!) and want to know if I have made a huge boo boo. Thanks to anyne who has any info!

Its 1970's/80's it is his Safari Line which he is famous for. I think it was featured in Vogue. Great find.

Laurent's first Safari line was in 1968. It was a staple in his lines year after year so it is hard to tell when this is from.

Yours does look 70's from the tie front and the way the pants are made though.

OK. Now I am freaking out. I found this image and text on the YSL Foundation website. I took a screen shot of it because they website will not allow a direct link to the page. But the tunic in the photo is the same as mine and the text next to it basically reads that only two of these were ever made. Is it even remotely possible that I have one of them? Or am I going out of my mind.

Hi all... thanks for being excited along with me! I am still doing research and struggling to find out what sort of a reserve I should put on the set when I list it. I's a really hard thing to pin down. But I think I will be listing it soon.

Debutante... I scored it at a sale to benefit Hospice. I knew I had found something good... but it took me awhile to realize how good it really was!
