Wish I had somewhere to wear this one!
Can anyone tell me if it's 50s or 60s? Has metal zipper and pinked seams.

Also, fabric feels medium to heavyweight, very fine horizontal rib with this shiny swirling design all over it. I am so bad at descriptions! Any ideas as to what to call it?

Thanks a bunch

wow - Halter Rumba style!
That looks more late 50s to me than 60s. Is the fabric a figured faille?

7. Make sure you use salsa somewhere in your description too! Was reading an article about the resurgence of salsa dancing and how the dancers look for sexy flounced dresses!

Good luck on this one...it is wonderful!!!

If it were as late as the 60's, which I doubt, no later than 62-64ish, IMHO. Quite lovely.

Yowza! Your manni has the perfect "attitude" to pull that dress off. Very nice presentation!

I forget what that kind of a halter neck is called. Actually, that type of neckline is also quite popular with the RAB crowd who go for the pinup look - though the rest of the dress is not RAB. I might add "pinup" in there somewhere with the "salsa".

Great dress!

Thanks everyone for all your great suggestions. I've stuck this on my website for now. I'll see what happens. If it doesn't sell by the holidays, I'll try and get more exposure by putting it on Ebay. Am going to work on fitting all your good keywords into the description!
