Hello Again!

Found this amazing sweater this weekend, but can't find anything on the label which I LOVE!

Kingstone
Sportknit Co. NY. (C)
Hand Loomed
100% Wool

Also the fit seems a bit odd to me, broad shoulders(26") and slim waist(11"), so that didn't help me much with dating at all...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Andrew!

It is a great sweater! Before I put forth any opinions, can I ask how you are getting 26" for a shoulder measurement? Are you measuring seam to seam? Also, what is the chest measurement - armpit to armpit?

Well scratch that. I'm not sure how I got 26".
Sorry for the confusion :)

Shoulders look to be 17-1/2", seam to seam
The chest is 17".

Thanks again for any thoughts!

That's lovely - I particularly like the scallop or swag part of the design.
I thought you probably made a typo, and measured 16" the first time.
I have no experience in this area, but that very sportsman shape (there's a technical term I don't remember, for a wide shouldered, body building type bodyshape) seems to be typical for early knitwear.

Hopefully before long another of our guest members Lindapoirier, who's speciality is early sweaters, will see this and be able to help you.
