I was wondering if I could get a little help dating this cute little mini cheongsam dress. The zipper is nylon and it does have metal snaps in addition to the ribbon closures. Does anyone know how to translate chinese? Is there a fabric content listed here? :clapping:

I'd say it's more or less new, to be honest. Is it silk or synthetic? I had a synthetic long cheongsam (I just sold it - the slits on the side were just too high for my taste), with same flower pattern, but in dark blue with silver flowers. It was a pretty cheap synthetic one from a Chinese shop, and I must say the fabric, closures etc. looked pretty much like on yours. It also had a nylon zip and metal snaps underneath the ribbon closures. And I too had to buy a size L or XL to fit even my figure, due to Chinese sizes being so much smaller. I had mine from a Chinese shop in Vienna, and I have the impression they sell them by the dozen... But who cares if it's a mass-product, I think they look nice, even the synthetic ones, and with the right kind of styling, they're a nice addition to any wardrobe.

I am not real sure about the fabric because the tag in the picture is the only tag on the dress. It feels satiny .... The other reason I wasn't real sure about the date is that the snaps resemble some snaps that I had on a 60's Lilli Ann coat...:icon_wall:
