Need help dating a dress...

Not real sure what the fabric is, but I think it may be a rayon blend of some sort. Maybe you an help with the fabric too :duh: It's medium weight. The zipper is metal (Trend) and there is a tag sewn on the inside, but there is no maker listed. It's just a bunch of printed numbers. I couldn't even tell you which one of the numbers could be a size...:eyebrow2: Anyway, here are some pics. Thanks in advance for you help...:kiss2:

Can you post a picture of the tag that has the numbers? Maybe there's a clue on the tag. :cul:

Here is a picture of the label. You can't make out the numbers though. They are VERY light. There is a 6 L at the top, a 4 at the bottom left corner and a 9 at the bottom right. They look like what you would see from an old ditto machine. Sorry I couldn't get a better pic..

Gosh Connie, that is such a traditional style, its hard to say. The fabric looks like linen but maybe a blend with rayon? If I had to guess on date I would say mid to late 60s.

60's is what I have for my listing description too, but I just wanted to be sure to the ask the experts before I went live. Fabrics are the one area I am terrible in. The only reason I thought that it might have some rayon in it is that there is some sheen and silkiness that is not evident in the photos but it definitely looks like linen.
